For kids age 3 years through 4th grade. Meets Sunday mornings from 10:15-11:00am following Worship during the program year. We will be masked and physically distanced when indoors. Watch for changes as the COVID situation evolves. Register for Sunday School here.

Registration is required for all groups listed below here.

Meets Wednesday nights from 7:00-8:00pm, currently outside, physically distanced, or online and is focused on taking young people's faith to the next step. Confirmation has happened or is being completed, and we use this as a jumping point to explore and develop our common faith. Mission trips, ELCA Youth Gathering trips, service projects, and retreats are other activities.

Meets Wednesdays following youth group at 8:00pm. Peer Ministry usually offers a weekend long training off site that teaches youth to help other youth by deepening their listening skills, picking up on body language and how to be a resource to others to get them the help they may need. Peer Ministry teaches youth to be a good Samaritan and to respond to the needs of their friends.

Meets Wednesday nights from 6:15-7:00pm. Faith formation for 7th and 8th graders who affirm their faith in the fall of their 9th grade year at a Confirmation service.

If you have any questions about CYF, or want to be added to email notifications for Children, Youth & Family Ministry activities and events, please email Sonja Nelson, Director of Children, Youth & Family Ministry, or call 218-326-8553.

PLEASE SEE our current COVID expectations for: Sunday School, 5th & 6th Grade, and Confirmation. We are morphing between in-person with safety precautions, online and home activity kits depending on the COVID situation at the time. Watch for updates in emails and the Zion Weekly News as the situation changes.

Meets Wednesday nights from 6:15-7:00pm. Fun and faith formation for 5th and 6th graders.

Occasional events through the course of the year for 5th-8th graders. They play games, have great talks, do service projects and much more all keeping Christ at the center of the fun and fellowship.
